Green Flag Award
Following from our Green Flag Assessment visit today, we are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been awarded an Eco School Green Flag.
The assessors were particularly impressed with the way the pupils were able to explain the various initiatives and demonstrated an obvious pride in their school and achievements.
In our oral feedback the assessors described our application and visit as ‘to an outstandingly high standard’. We will have written feedback, with suggestions for future developments, in the next few weeks.
The Eco Schools initiative includes the activities undertaken by Eco, Health, School Grounds and School Travel Plan Committees and related curricular work.

Armstrong Football Success
Well done to the school football team who were runners up in the small schools group of the Armstrong Memorial Tournament on Saturday.
Congratulations to all players and the coaches.
Eco Code
Attached is a copy of the school’s Eco Code. This code was developed by the Eco Committee by asking all pupils to contribute ideas at one of our Pupil Parliaments.
The Eco Code is displayed throughout the school and local area.
