Sport Relief – We’re ‘Going the Extra Mile’
The school is participating in Sport Relief 2008.
We are joining thousands of people throughout the country who will be ‘going the extra mile’ on Friday 14th March.
The theme we have chosen is ‘Silly Hats’ and we hope that all pupils will bring a silly hat to wear as we walk the mile. The best silly hat will win a prize!
We suggest that pupils bring £1 to donate to Sport Relief.
Knex Challenge Winners
P4-6 pupils participated in this annual school event, organised by Setpoint. The representative from Setpoint was joined by a local engineer.
This year the pupils were set the challenge of building a bridge. Both visitors were extremely impressed with the quality of the pupils’ structures and their knowledge of basic engineering principles.
The standard of entries was very high, but the engineer decided that Ross and Eddie’s bridge was the most impressive. The boys will represent the school at the regional final in September.
